A. M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine have done it again and have delivered yet another heartfelt story that held my attention from start to finish. A Mess Of a Man is a an amazing and beautiful love story between two persons who are meant to be together. I felt that this book evoked so many true emotions ! So be prepared with a few tissues !

This book is the sequel to the authors’ previous book “Cruel and Beautiful”. It can be read as a standalone, but I would advise to read both books, to fully experience the emotional journey the authors have created.

Ben Rhoades’ life is a mess after the death of the person he considered his brother. He loses himself in his sorrow and is unable to connect emotionally with anybody until he meets Samantha Calhoun. He is fascinated by her but he knows he should stay away. He is convinced he can’t give her the commitment and happiness she deserves.  But he always comes back to her. And as he is falling for her, he will understand that some things are simply meant to be. The last part of the story really packed a punch and even if I didn’t like Ben at first, it totally won me over. To put it simply, I loved it !

ARC gratefully received from the authors in exchange for my honest review.
