The moment I laid eyes on the new photographer at work, I had his number. Cocky, arrogant and super wealthy—women were eating out of his hand as soon as his tight ass crossed the threshold of our office.
When we were forced to go to Paris together for an assignment, I wasn’t interested in his seductive smile, his sexy accent or his dirty laugh. I wasn’t falling for his charms.
Until I did.
Until he was kissing me and I was wondering how it happened. Until he was dragging his lips across my skin and I was hoping for more. Paris does funny things to a girl and he might have gotten me naked.
But Paris couldn’t last forever.

About the Author:
USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series, What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
Rating : 4 out of 5 Stars
Parisian Nights, previously titled« What The Lightning Sees #1-3 », is a beautiful and engaging enemies-to-lovers story, with a balanced mix of funny interactions , angst and sexy moments.
Haven Daniels’ focus is on her career as editor of the UK’s premier woman’s magazine. She is not pleased when she is paired with photographer Jake Harrison for a celebrity interview. Jake is everything she despises, or so she thinks. She sees him as a spoiled, entitled rich guy, who got the job thanks to his connections. I loved that she was wrong, so wrong. Jake is anything but a dilettante. A successful self-made business owner, he made his money thanks to the sale of his first company.
Haven is a complex character, she hides her vulnerability and feelings of inadequacy with a judgmental and straight-laced attitude. But despite her initial prejudice, Haven’s opinion on Jake slowly evolves in the right direction! She likes Jake’s attention, and has to admit he always remains nice and positive despite her snide remarks.
Everything will change between them during a stay in the magical city of Paris! For the first time, Jake wants more than a short lived relationship and needs to convince Haven to let go and take a risk. But despite their intense chemistry, Haven’s insecurities and Jake’s ex deviousness might get in the way of their happiness. Will Jake be brave enough to fight for what he wants?
This story was so romantic, with an authentic and believable feel. Louise Bay’s Night series are interconnected and I hope to read more about Jake and Haven in her other books.
