NY Times & USA Today Bestselling author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender.

Last Kiss was my most anticipated book of the year, and this book was everything I hoped it would be and then some. The whole series is testament to Laurelin Paige’s masterful storytelling and characterization. Once again, the plot was breathtaking, suspenseful, mysterious and seductive. At the end of First Touch, I had no idea where the story was headed, and I was left with many questions unanswered about the personality of Reeve Sallis and his activities. But I trusted Laurelin Paige to lead her reader to a spectacular conclusion. I was not disappointed.
Amber’s return has changed everything between Emily and Reeve. I admit that I was annoyed with Emily at first. Her loyalty to Amber seemed to prevail over her love for Reeve, and she was once again dependent on someone who didn’t deserve it. She seemed to have forgotten every bad thing that had happened between them.
Reeve’s inner conflict was heartbreaking. He has given his trust freely to Emily, but she is wary to do the same. He seemed at a loss as to what he had to do to prove his love for her. And with Amber using his loyalty to her as a weapon to terrify Emily, he was in a difficult position.
But both Emily and Reeve are victims of a master manipulator, and open communication will be of key importance to salvage their relationship. When all was said and done, Reeve and Emily’s love story was epic, incredibly hot and simmering with deep feelings. Reeve Sallis will always remain one of my favorite romance heroes, a bad boy who is a good man.
