We all have one.
That magic number that will get us to agree to do anything, be anything.
Don’t sit on your gold-plated high horse and say you don’t because you do. Everyone does. Each of us has something we covet enough that we’d sell ourselves to have it.
What’s my tipping point, you ask? Apparently a cool quarter mil will do the trick.
What does one do for 250 large, you wonder? Anything the infamous, gorgeous playboy of Seattle wants. For the next four months I’ll be Shaw Mercer’s arm candy, his beck and call girl, his faux girlfriend. I’ll be his to command, mold, push and pull in any direction he sees fit.
I’ll fight falling into bed with him. I’ll fight falling in love with him even harder. I’ll fail at both. And when my past and present collide in the most unexpected of ways, I’ll learn that while one man’s love for me has never died, the only man’s love I really want will never be mine.

This book was a wonderful read. Once again, I’m totally seduced by this author’s effortless storytelling, engaging characters and punchy dialogue. K.L. Kreig has a knack for making you feel, and that is exactly what I’m looking for when I pick a book. This story of fate and all-consuming attraction was beautiful and totally addictive.
Lost In Between is the story of a golden boy, Shaw Mercer, born into privilege and one of Seattle’s most eligible bachelors and his golden angel, Willow Blackwell, hardened by life and working as escort to make ends meet. Their first encounter is disastrous, Shaw’s car rear-ends Willow’s car at a stoplight. Suspicious and smug, Shaw is convinced Willow is trying to con him, after all he is a perfect target. With his best friend Noah, he owns a fast growing consultancy firm and he is the son of Seattle’s mayor.
Shaw is a family man, he intended to be part of his family legacy and has succeeded beyond all expectations. Loyal to his relatives and focused on his business, he isn’t ready for a relationship. He wants to help his father get reelected for a second term, though, and conformity is of the utmost importance to succeed. As an escort, Willow sells her time, and playing the part of his girlfriend for a few months is a lucrative business arrangement she can’t refuse. But what happens when the charade becomes real?
Shaw and Willow’s connection was undeniable from the start. Their battle of wills was delightful. I loved that she defied him, constantly keeping him on his toes. Willow is a great heroine, direct, sassy and yet broken by the harsh reality of her life. She fights her attraction to Shaw, but when the lines are blurred, she knows she will never be able to walk away unscathed. Shaw and his best friend and business partner, Noah, are picture perfect alpha heroes. I loved them both and I hope we’ll get Noah’s story too.
K.L. Kreig has delivered a sweet and sexy story, with a good level of intensity and some angst. The pace definitely picked up for a finale that left me with many questions. Although the book was long, I was totally invested in the story. I loved the characters, their smoldering romance, abundance of chemistry and antics. Lost in Between is the first installment in a new series and I definitely want to see Willow and Shaw walk into the sunset in the next installment!
I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
As a USA Today Bestselling author, I write stories that are deeply emotional with flawed characters, because humans ARE flawed and if we read about perfect characters living in their perfect world, first of all, snoozer, but secondly, we never experience the gratification of redemption.
Outside of writing, I’m just a regular ol’ Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It’s a vicous cycle. I love carbs, but there’s love-hate relationship with my ass and thighs. Mostly hate. I like a good cocktail (oh hell…who am I kidding? I love any cocktail). I’m a huge creature of habit, but I’ll tell you I’m flexible. I read every single day and if I don’t get a chance…watch the hell out. My iPad and me: BFFs. I’m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker. I hate, hate, hate spiders, telemarketers, liver, acne, winter and loose hairs that fall down my shirt (don’t ask, it’s a thing).
