Molly Alcott didn’t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she’ll never forget.
Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly’s heart.
The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.
Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.

“Letters to Molly” is a wonderfully romantic story about true love and second chance. Second chance is one of my favorite romance trope. It’s wonderful to see a couple who thought they’d never be together again find a way to set aside past hurts and doubts and build a life together again.
Devney Perry is one of my top go-to contemporary romance authors and this book is a perfect example of her beautiful, heartwarming and romantic writing style. As usual, she has delivered a fabulous story, the plot was not unique in itself but she made it quite unique.
Told from dual perspectives, this book focuses on Molly and Finn, two secondary characters from “The Birthday List”. They have been divorced for six years, sharing custody of their two kids and they have spent a long time getting to a place of friendship. They both have unfinished, very real feelings to work through. Old letters Finn had never had any intention of giving Molly will force them to deal with their old wounds and mistakes.
Letters to Molly is the story of a true love that has endured separation and misunderstanding. Reading this book was an emotional and angst filled journey. Molly and Finn are beautiful characters that are torn, hurt and full of regret. Why do we sometimes regret the choices we make? The obvious answer is that we sometimes make bad choices, with unforeseen negative consequences. Despite their bad choices and rash decisions, Molly and Finn are perfect for each other and they never stopped loving each other. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a read that is high on emotion and beautifully written.
Many thanks to the author for my copy of this book!
