I devoured this book! The storyline is full of mystery, deception and intensity, with a dark and sexy tone. The author did a great job of building the tension, the wondering what will happen really got me hooked. You can’t help but keep on turning the pages to find out what will happen next.
Callum McCord is the character you love to hate. A man of many layers, he is utterly complex, arrogant, possessive and devious but has an irresistibly tender and sweet side. Behind his ruthless facade and his controlling temperament, he hides a vulnerability that tears your heart out.
Emery is an engaging character, a no-nonsense type of girl, feisty and determined, a tough cookie who definitely has a backbone.
Emery and Callum are perfect together, their chemistry was positively electrifying. I enjoyed the intensity of the relationship between these two. They have the most unconventional romance and as crazy as their transactional relationship was, the connection between them was combustible, I totally loved the vibe these two had.
Be ready for a gripping plot filled with romance, obsession, betrayal and some exceptionally hot scenes. I did find the ending kind of abrupt, but this book was one heck of an addictive read that I recommend!
