This new installment in “The Doctors” series explores the themes of trust, healing, and the unexpected beauty of finding true love in the most unlikely places. It can be read as a standalone if, like me, you have not read (yet) the first three books in the series.The story follows Vivian, an American pop star seeking refuge in the anonymity of London after a devastating breakup, and Beau, a doctor navigating the complexities of his own life. Their paths cross in a charming meet cute.Vivian’s vulnerability and desire for privacy and Beau’s kindness create the perfect foundation for a fake relationship designed to shield Vivian from bad press, leading to a series of delightful and heartwarming moments.
Beau’s protective nature adds a touch of swoon-worthy charm, making him an irresistible and endearing hero that I could easily root for. His genuine care for Vivian is evident throughout the story. Vivian’s craving for authenticity and Beau’s genuine nature create a compelling dynamic. While their chemistry is undeniable, the rapid progression of their feelings felt slightly rushed, making it challenging for me to fully buy into the depth of their connection. Despite this aspect, the story’s true strength lies in the author’s fluid and engaging writing style.
